Why Do Some Buyers Think Outdoor Courts Are Smaller?

This misunderstanding usually comes from the following situations:

Mini / recreational custom courts

Some property communities, private villas order non-standard small-size padel courts for casual entertainment. These compact courts can be built indoor or outdoor. They are not official competition sizes and cannot be used for formal tournaments. This is a customized choice, not a standard rule for outdoor courts.

Confusion between boundary space and playing area

Outdoor courts often require extra safety clearance around the perimeter for wind protection, pedestrian passage and drainage layout. The surrounding occupied space becomes larger, but the actual playing field inside the glass enclosure still keeps 20m×10m.

Different structural top designs

Many outdoor panoramic padel courts install partial or full roof canopies. The roof frame occupies peripheral space visually, making people mistakenly feel the court surface is narrowed.
