Players can run, step or stand outside the white boundary lines of the court at any time. There is no penalty for positioning yourself outside the court lines. Many players move outside the court to retrieve wide balls bouncing off the glass walls.

The ball remains live if it hits the glass walls or metal mesh enclosure inside the court perimeter.

The point ends immediately if:

The ball bounces twice on the ground;

The ball lands on the ground outside the court boundary before hitting any wall;

The ball flies over the top fence out of the court enclosure.

When the ball rebounds off the side glass and travels wide, players often step outside the court lines to reach the ball and hit it back. This is fully legal, as long as the ball has not touched the ground outside the court.
